Liz is a freelance writer and running coach based in the Eastern Sierra town of Bishop, California.
She is the founder of Runcation Travel, which provides adventure travel for runners. After competing collegiately for 5 years at the NCAA Division 1 level for Columbia University and USC, Liz has been coaching at the high school, collegiate, and adult level since 2009. Liz has also worked as a backpacking guide in Central America, Sea Kayaking Guide in the Bay Area, and managed an Adapted Paddling Program for individuals with mobility impairments. She spent 3 summers leading international high altitude running and service learning trips for high school/college students in East Africa and Peru. She holds a MS in Kinesiology, USATF Level 1 Running Coach, Wilderness First Aid, Sports First Aid, and CPR certifications.

She has experience with creative writing, long-form journalism, science writing, and has also worked on contract editing projects for Moon Travel Guides and copywriting projects for various organizations.
